Travel Inn Hotel

We stayed one night in the hotel. The location was excellent. The hotel was older but very clean and comfortable. Any problems we had was quickly handled by the front desk. (key card didnt work, no towels in the room) Pool was a big plus. Reasonable parking. Diner was delicious and affordable. I would stay here again.

The Travel Inn was a good home base for our 4-day New York family trip. My husband and I usually prefer to stay away from the touristy areas; however, on this first trip to the City with our two younger sons, ages 10 and 12, we wanted to stay closer to the attractions in Times Square. It was a few blocks from there, and a bit closer than that from the closest metro station. Not bad! The hotel room was very outdated and not spotless, but it was neat and clean enough. All the employees we talked to, both in the hotel and parking garage, were very nice and helpful. Speaking of the garage, it is located just outside the hotel and is seriously THE BEST PARKING RATE IN THE CITY. We paid $20 a day for parking, when we usually pay $40 or more a day. Plus, we got to drive our car into the garage and store our luggage in there, as well, after checkout (instead of checking our bags at the front desk). We didn't use the pool (too much to do in the City!), but it looked very nice from our hotel room. Negatives: the TV remote didn't work (we should have asked for batteries?) + we only had three towels for four people (and had to ask for another set) + it's very close to the bus station Overall, the hotel is a very good deal for its location, parking, and atmosphere. I would stay here again...but unfortunately one of the desk clerks told us they were planning to close in December because a new high-rise was going to be built there. What a shame!

I like Cushmans very much. I like their stuff. I will be there for you in everything. I will serve you. You will not have any problems. I have drunk myself in the jail that I live here. I am going. I had a lot of fun yesterday. I hope you guys will come too and have a lot of fun.

Wish they were open on the weekends because it's one of the better places to go if you're working shows at the Javits Center. The main guy here knows what you like if you've been there more than once. Seen a table come in and sit down, he brought them coffee and everything without needing to ask. Very perceptive person to remember people like that. Has that old school diner vibe. Definitely going back on the weekdays.

I was a little scared with all the mixed reviews but, I was suprised. The room could use a deep clean but, it wasn't dirty and the bathroom was clean. We must have gotten in the updated rooms, the decor was fine. Only complaint is we couldn't get the heat to turn off. Inexpensive hotel even at New Year's Eve and close to Time's Square.

This hotel was absolutely almost perfect. It was clean, quiet, had a pool which is rare for NY and most importantly, it wasn't a million dollars per night like other NY hotels. Just a few blocks from times square. Not the most updated hotel but who cares? You're in NY and won't be there too much anyway. It's clean and comfortable. The deli attached has very cheap prices for breakfast and lunch and is actual food. Not fast food. I can't wait to go back. Very happy and this is the place for me.

Clean, good beds. (We asked for the upgrade to recently-renovated rooms) A bit noisy if you get a room facing 42nd St. - Swimming pool a great bonus (water a bit cold though). The 15-min-walk distance to Times Square is very convenient. Lots of options to choose from to eat near by. There's a bus stop on the corner as well.

I have coming there for years, the mgr is a great guy, parking no problem, great location.... Not one bad thing to say
